Staying active is vital for your physical, mental & emotional health.
According to the NHS guidelines, individuals should aim to do at least 150 minutes of moderate intensity or 75 minutes of vigour intensity activity a week. It is also recommended that individuals aim to do strengthening activities at least twice a week.
Participating in regular exercise can:
- Increases muscular and cardiorespiratory fitness
- Increases bone health (protects from osteoporosis)
- Reduces risk of high blood pressure, coronary heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes and some cancers
- Helps manage your weight
- Reduces anxiety & depression and helps prevent other mental health problems
- Boosts your mood & wellbeing
We offer a variety of personal training programmes, each individually tailored to your specific needs whether it is to increase your cardiovascular fitness, promote weight loss, build muscle mass, rehabilitate an injury or require sport-specific training.
Personal training sessions are done through 1-1 or 2-1 basis.
To meet NHS guidelines of 150 minutes of moderate intensity activity a week
=2 x 60 minute & 1 x 30 minute sessions per week OR 5 x 30 minute sessions per week
To meet NHS guidelines of 75 minutes of vigour intensity activity a week
=1 x 60 minute & 1 x 15 sessions* per week OR 2 x 30 minute & 1 x 15 minute sessions* per week
*we only offer minimum of 30 minute sessions
